Following OSHA Guidelines, our Certified Early Intervention Specialists provide first aid services to resolve early reports of pain and discomfort. The on-site Specialist observes and coaches employees at their work site to correct the root cause of the discomfort while providing education on safe body mechanics and posture. Working with the employer representative, cases are managed from onset of discomfort through full resolution.
  • Data shows >85% of cases resolve without traditional medical referral.
  • Programs yield a 4 to 1 ROI with significant reduction in:
    • Recordables
    • WC injury rate and cost
    • Health care utilization
Job-Site Analysis (JSA) and Functional Job Descriptions (FJD)
Good Ergonomics=Good Economics. A Job Site Analysis can decrease work-related injuries, maximize existing resources, and increase employee morale.

Adopting a proactive ergonomics policy begins with assessing the workplace for ergonomic risk. A Job-Site Analysis (JSA) is the tool utilized by the Certified Early Intervention Specialist to identify high risk movements, postures and tasks. Tools used may include (but are not limited to) ASC-Z365, RULA, NIOSH Lift Equation, REBA, etc. depending on the job-type and essential functions of the job.

The JSA will include classification of the risk and makes recommendations for corrective actions. All recommendations will be scored to assist the management team in developing an implementation plan.

A Functional Job Description (FJD) from ATI Worksite Solutions expands on the basic information found in a typical job description to account for the specific and essential physical tasks of a job. Using research and interviews with staff as well as detailed observation of the job, our consultant creates a detailed job description that includes weights, forces, movements and postures; all classified by the DOL recommended frequencies and durations.

The completed FJD is the keystone tool for:
  • Developing post-offer tests
  • Managing temporary and permanent restrictions
  • Evaluating the accommodation portion of ADA claims
Post-offer Testing:
Post-offer evaluations screen potential new hires to ensure they meet the physical requirements necessary to perform the critical and essential functions of the job. Working with the employer, our consultants develop a job-specific physical simulation to evaluate flexibility, strength, functional mobility/agility, posture, body mechanics with lifting and work performance, and blood pressure.
  • Tests are developed with close attention to case law, jurisdictional requirements and ADA/EEOC recommendations.
  • Test outcomes available immediately after test conclusion.
  • Typical failure rate is 15-18%, up to 35% when performed during periods of high unemployment
  • Testing yields a 10 to 1 ROI!
Injury Prevention Education & Training
Image2 By training employees in injury prevention and ergonomics, ATI Worksite Solutions works with employers to keep their most valuable asset, their employees, healthy and productive. Sessions are followed by one-on-one job coaching opportunities to reinforce key training points.

Educational Sessions include:
  • Risk Factors
  • Anatomy/Physiology of Musculoskeletal Injury
  • Ergonomics
  • Proper Biomechanical & Work Methods
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Job Specific Stretching
  • Exercise Recommendations for Home/Personal Time
Office Ergonomics
ATI Worksite Solutions offers a unique software program that allows employers to FINALLY give attention to one of the industries’ leading contributors to workplace injuries – the OFFICE WORKER.

Most office injuries are caused by the physical stress and strain of sitting in the same position for a long time, making repetitive movements, and overuse. Utilizing our proprietary software program OfficeTrac™, our Certified Early Intervention Specialist can efficiently and cost effectively screen a large group of employees to identify those at high risk.

Our consultant will educate employees regarding proper workstation setup and/or recommend necessary equipment changes. The OfficeTrac™ tool facilitates the assessment and triggers a follow-up survey to establish ROI.

Return to Work and Functional Capacity Evaluations
When an employee has been away from their job for an extended time, due to an injury or any other reason, ensuring a safe return to duty reduces the risk of injury and the likelihood of even more time away from work.

A functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a scientifically developed process that measures a worker’s physical capabilities and tolerances. The comprehensive, job-specific assessment examines the employee’s ability to perform all essential functions of the job and determines whether they are ready to return at full capacity, or may need a transitional duty program.
  • Results called and faxed to designated nurse case managers, risk managers and treating physician.
  • Can detect sub-maximal efforts by employees with alternative motives to returning to work
  • Results reported as VALID, Conditionally VALID, or INVALID.
