Chief Executive Officer (Interim)
Samuel Allen (Al) Hamood has been named the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on an interim basis for ATI, effective August 2018. Mr. Hamood has been an Executive Vice President in the capacity of both Chief Financial Officer and Head of Global Operations for several global companies during this tenured career. He has been instrumental in developing global strategies and driving those strategies into operational successes, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Hamood is a very seasoned business executive and has established a solid track record given the many operational teams he has managed with roles expanding across many industries including: Healthcare, Financial Services, Information Technology, Consumer Product and Media and Entertainment, with a focus in the Healthcare Services Space. During his career tenure he has managed Strategy, Finance, Accounting and various Operational Functions in both US and International roles. Mr. Hamood has lead or advised several companies through merger and acquisition processes, significant private equity and capital market transactions and public readiness approaches and processes and secondary market transactions.
Mr. Hamood’s role within ATI was EVP CFO and CAO for ATI Physical Therapy Inc, and was previously the EVP and CFO for both Change HealthCare Corporation (a recently formed merged company owned by both Blackstone and McKesson) and the Transunion Corporation. Before those roles, he was a Vice President & CFO for the U.S. Region of Hewlett Packard (formerly EDS), and too held the positions of Vice President of Investor Relations and Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning. Prior to that Mr. Hamood spent seven years with the Walt Disney Company in progressing finance and strategy leadership roles and began his career with Deloitte and Touche. Mr. Hamood too currently serves as a Senior Advisor for both Advent International and Change Healthcare.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, Mr. Hamood also earned his Juris Doctorate, with Distinction, from Southwestern University School of Law and passed the Illinois Bar. Mr. Hamood is also a Certified Public Accountant, currently in inactive status. Mr. Hamood is a Board Member and Audit Committee Chairman of The Culligan Corporation, and Chairman of the Board for Chicago Run and the former Audit Committee Chairman. He previously sat on the Finance Advisory Council for the Tippie School of Business at the University of Iowa, and on the Advisory Board for the Ernst and Young CFO Advisory Council.
