10-clinic acquisition also includes new locations in Illinois and Indiana
ATI Physical Therapy is growing in the Midwest with the acquisition of Motion Hand & Physical Therapy, a 10-clinic private practice with locations in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. The clinics have adopted the ATI Physical Therapy name effective October 1.
ATI is dedicated to preserving what was best about Motion Hand & Physical Therapy and enhancing services to provide the ultimate patient experience.
“Motion has an excellent reputation in the hand and occupational therapy arena and we are thrilled to welcome the staff and patients from these clinics to the ATI family,” said Jason Hafner, Senior Vice President, ATI Physical Therapy. “With the support and resources of ATI, these clinics will continue to thrive by offering the highest quality hand and physical therapy in a truly unique environment.”
“ATI’s commitment to patients, employees and the community is impressive“, said Paul and Jayne Dederichs, founders of Motion Hand & Physical Therapy. “We are excited our team has joined a company who shares the same core values as Motion.”
The same friendly and knowledgeable clinicians will continue to serve patients at the clinics located in Merrillville, Munster, Valparaiso, and Lowell in Indiana; Tinley Park and Homewood in Illinois; and Hilliard and Chillicothe in Ohio. Van Huffine, Owner and Director of Operations at Motion, will join ATI in a leadership role.
“We were drawn to ATI because it has the benefits of a large company but maintains the same personal small ‘mom and pop’ shop customer-first philosophy,” said Huffine. “With ATI’s leadership and vision to be the best outpatient rehabilitation company, our clinics will continue to grow and our employees have opportunities for professional advancement.”
ATI Physical Therapy is a nationally-recognized provider of orthopedic rehabilitation services specializing in physical therapy, work conditioning/hardening, hand therapy, aquatic therapy, sports medicine, and women’s health. With corporate offices in Bolingbrook, Illinois, ATI operates over 190 clinics in seven states: Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
“We’ll now be able to serve more patients in several communities that we already call home as well as bring the ‘ATI Difference’ to new regions,” said Greg Steil, CEO, ATI Physical Therapy. “We are especially excited about our expansion into Ohio as it will bridge the geographical gap between our Midwest and East Coast divisions.”
Founded in 1996, ATI has been named “Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation” by Advance Rehab Magazine and has achieved URAC Core Accreditation, a mark of distinction that recognizes ATI’s commitment to quality health care.
ATI has continued to flourish by distinguishing itself in the industry and continually improving and expanding its services. A few examples:
