Let us assure you — our proactive measures
Letters from our CEO to help ease your mind
Updated: 3/27/2020
As the world faces unprecedented challenges around the COVID-19 pandemic, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the ATI’s team members who continue to care for our patients during this time.
I am in awe of the professionalism, dedication and compassion they bring every day to keep our patients on their road to recovery. As an essential health care function, we deeply understand the responsibility we have, and the commitment we make every day to keep our patients and team members safe and healthy.
Though much is uncertain right now, I’m confident that we will continue to be there for our patients and each other. Thank you to our patients for reaching out and showing their appreciation to us for being there for them. And thank you, ATI team members, for everything you do.
I’m grateful, more than ever before, for the privilege of serving and supporting you.

ATI Patients,
I wanted to reach out to say I understand your anxiety and concerns about coronavirus. At ATI Physical Therapy, your health and the health of our team members is always top priority.
To help put your mind at ease, here are some proactive measures we have been taking at ATI to protect your health, while delivering a successful physical therapy treatment experience:
- ATI follows all Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, continually consults with medical authorities and peer organizations around the country, and adopts recommended protocols as appropriate.
- ATI routinely follows recommended processes for cleanliness, sanitation and sterilization in our clinics. We use medical grade sanitizers and disinfectants on our hands and equipment. We are now placing heightened emphasis on these practices.
-
ATI screens all patients and clinicians for symptoms before allowing treatment. We ask the following two questions and if the answer is yes to either question, we insist on rescheduling their appointments or not returning to work until it is safe to do so.
-
In the last 14 days, have you or anyone in your household been to Level 3 destinations — please see the CDC website for the most current list; returned from a cruise; or knowingly been exposed to anyone with Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
-
Do you or anyone in your household have current flu-like or upper respiratory symptoms, fever, cough or shortness of breath?
Ultimately, we want to get you back to being you. Whatever your treatment goals may be, we believe the single-biggest factor in a successful recovery from injury is completing the recommended course of care. We will always be committed to delivering your care in a safe and healthy environment.
We would also like to remind you of these precautions recommended by the CDC to help protect your health and the health of those around you:
Clean your hands often
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Put distance between yourself and other people if Coronavirus (COVID-19) is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people who are higher risk of getting very sick.
Additional measures may be necessary to protect your health in our clinics. If so, we will update our practices and policies immediately.
With this shared commitment, we are confident we can continue delivering the same high level of care you’ve come to expect from us.
Sincerely,
Labeed Diab, ATI Chief Executive Officer
