About Dr. Mikolyzk
Dr. David Mikolyzk is an orthopaedic surgeon with Holy Family Memorial’s Lakeshore Orthopaedics who completed a fellowship in hand and wrist surgery, and specializes in the comprehensive treatment of hand and wrist disorders, offering both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options.
He provides care for common upper extremity problems, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis, as well as hand and wrist fractures. He is also proficient in cutting-edge techniques such as small joint replacement, wrist arthroscopy, percutaneous treatment of Dupuytren's disease and microvascular surgery. Dr. Mikolyzk has extensive experience in the treatment of complex traumatic hand injuries and also has an interest in sports-related injuries of the hand and wrist. He understands that hands are essential for daily function, and he is committed to working with patients to achieve the best possible outcome.
Born in Plymouth, Wisconsin, Dr. Mikolyzk attended Plymouth High School and then received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine, and completed his orthopaedic residency at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago. He completed his fellowship in hand and wrist surgery at the renowned Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery Fellowship in Cincinnati, Ohio.
