Total Joint Replacement: Hip Pain and Replacement
Please join ATI Physical Therapy and Dr. Hollander for a presentation on what is associated with common hip pain, along with pre-operative and operative treatments. This will include information about an orthopedic evaluation, treatment options, and medications. He will discuss the various surgical approaches that are used for joint replacement, and the type of recovery each approach has. The lecture will conclude with an opportunity for Q&A in an informal atmosphere.

Course Objectives
1. Provide an accurate overview of hip pain and the different types of arthritis, and joint degeneration.
2. Discuss the importance of early diagnosis and early treatment of hip injuries and conditions, including the importance of exercise and rehabilitation.
3. Discuss the latest technological advances in the surgical methods in the treatment of hip arthritis using minimally invasive techniques.
4. Provide an accurate overview of the clinical outcomes and long-term success of total hip replacement.
About Our Presenter
Dr. Justin Hollander received his doctor of osteopathy degree at Michigan State University’s college of osteopathic medicine. He completed both his internship and residency programs at Garden City Hospital. During his residency, he completed subspecialty rotations in pediatric orthopedics, trauma orthopedics and joint reconstruction. Dr. Hollander was also a student athletic trainer at Michigan State University working with college athletes for 3 years. He opened his practice in Traverse City in August of 2011. Dr. Hollander treats many injuries and conditions including total hip arthroplasty, total knee arthroplasty, uni-compartmental knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery, revision knee arthroplasty, adult trauma, fracture care and general orthopedics. Dr. Hollander became board certified in 2014 and is currently accepting new patients.
