ATI Physical Therapy today announces expansion in Chicago with the opening of two new clinics—ATI Jefferson Park which opened on September 12, and ATI Portage Park, slated to open September 25. The new locations will provide residents in these communities with physical therapy, workers’ compensation and sports medicine services from the industry’s leader in rehabilitation services.
Samantha Mullin has been named Clinic Director for the Jefferson Park clinic, located at 5226 N. Northwest Highway. A resident of Bucktown, Samantha completed her undergraduate education at Augustana, earning her bachelor’s degree in biology in 2009. She continued her education at the University of Iowa, receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011, and has also earned her certification as an Orthopedic Manual Therapist. Samantha enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, with a special interest in the neurological population. In her spare time, she enjoys music and all things outdoors including hiking, running, swimming, or just sitting outside. Samantha is looking forward to returning her patients to an active and healthy lifestyle.
Leading patient care at Portage Park is Clinic Director Amanda Hickey. She received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Saint Louis University in 2010, followed by her Doctorate of Physical Therapy 2012. Additionally, Amanda has earned her certification as a manual physical therapist. Amanda treats a variety of orthopedic conditions, and as a gymnast growing up, has a special interest in the gymnast, dancer and cheerleader population. Her years as an athlete, combined with her education and experience, gives Amanda a unique perspective on the treatment needs of the sports medicine population as well as general orthopedic patients. When she’s not treating, Amanda enjoys running, traveling and participating in outdoor adventures. ATI Portage Park is located at 3852 N. Cicero Avenue.
“Our expansion in Chicago, as well as other communities in Illinois, reinforces ATI’s commitment to provide convenient access to exceptional, patient-centered care, trusted expertise and remarkable outcomes,” said Mark Schodrof, Senior Vice President of Operations at ATI. “If you’re experiencing any aches and pains, please stop by one of our new locations and schedule a complimentary screening.”
First appointments with all ATI clinics are scheduled within 24-48 hours, and early morning and evening hours are available to accommodate patient schedules. Rehabilitation services include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports-specific training, and therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
ATI accepts virtually all major insurance carriers, verifies patient benefits prior to the start of treatment and offers individualized payment plans. Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, research and evidence-based medicine. This includes the ATI Patient Outcomes Registry, a collection of data that supports an innovative approach to physical therapy that improves awareness of patient outcomes and how the rehabilitative process can impact patients’ quality of life.
ATI has received many local, regional and national accolades for its commitment to quality care. The company was named “Best Physical Therapy Company in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine, and has achieved URAC core accreditation recognizing its commitment to quality healthcare. As a way to give back to the communities in which its patients and employees live, work and serve, ATI established the ATI Foundation in 2007. The ATI Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides resources and funding to children with physical impairments.
