August 6, 2012

The ATI Foundation 8th Annual Cruisin-4-Kids Motorcycle Ride & Celebration event was a tremendous success. The event, which was held on Saturday, August 27, raised more than $65,000 to benefit children with physical impairments in need of medical and financial resources.
171 motorcycle riders and passengers participated in the annual motorcycle run with an additional 230 people joining the group at Joliet Memorial Stadium for the Post-Ride Celebration.
ATI Foundation beneficiary Maya Stevens, age 7, from Aurora, Illinois, joined the riders for a pre-ride breakfast at Heroes West Sports Grill in Joliet. Maya suffers from Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological diseaes that effects the nervous system. The Foundation has provided Maya and her family with financial assistance toward her numerous medical expenses.
The weather was absolutely perfect for the ride which included stops at Freaksters (Wilmington), Boondocks (Seneca), Last Resort Saloon (Sheridan), and the Bolingbrook Golf Club (Bolingbrook) where participants practiced some putting.
The Post-Ride Celebration at Joliet Memorial Stadium featured food, raffles, live music, and entertainment. ATI Foundation beneficiary Isabelle Anquiano, age 9, and her family joined in the fun festivities and thanked all the participants for their support. Isabelle, who lives in Montgomery, Illinois, has Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. The Foundation purchased an updated wheelchair that will allow her more mobility.
