Prominent physicians in the field of orthopedic sports medicine were the featured speakers at the Inaugural ATI National Sports Medicine Summit August 11-12 at the Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort, 3500 Midwest Road in Oak Brook.
Organized by ATI Physical Therapy, the Summit featured plenary sessions and instructional courses on the latest techniques and research regarding the athletic patient. Over 200 guests participated in sessions on a variety of topics including hip arthroscopy, rotator cuff tears, shoulder rehabilitation, concussion management, tennis elbow, ACL reconstruction, knee dysfunction, and SLAP lesions.

Featured speakers included: Dr. Benjamin Domb and Dr. Giridhar Burra of Hinsdale Orthopaedics; Dr. Peter Sallay, Methodist Sports Medicine/The Orthopedic Specialists; Dr. Amir Moinfar, Baltimore Washington Medical Center; and Dr. Nikhil Verma, Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes, Dr. John Fernandez, and Dr. Brian Forsythe from Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH.
Clinicians and therapists from six states attended this year’s event. ATI is planning to open up the 2013 Summit to a national audience.
