Residents of Prince George’s County now have convenient access to physical therapy, sports medicine and workers’ compensation services from the nation’s leading provider. ATI Physical Therapy is excited to announce the February 16 opening of its new Laurel clinic, located at 14190A Baltimore Avenue. As the Official Sports Medicine Provider for Annapolis Area Christian School, the clinic will help support the needs of its athletes.
Kiesha Montanez PT, DPT, has been named lead clinician at the new location. Kiesha earned her bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Prior to her role at Laurel, she treated patients at ATI’s Havre De Grace clinic. Kiesha enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine conditions, and is looking forward helping patients return to a pain free and active lifestyle.
Located at Route 1 and Cypress Street in the Laurel Lake Centre, ATI cares for patients from the moment they walk in the door to their last celebratory high-five— with a focus on the patient experience and return to an active lifestyle. Rehabilitation services include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports-specific training, and therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
“We are excited to call Laurel home, supporting the physical therapy and sports medicine needs of the community,” said Kate Ricks, Regional Director for ATI Physical Therapy. “From the first visit, our focus is to be the bright spot in our patients’ day. We offer the highest level of care, match our clinicians with patients based on their needs, and provide exceptional outcomes.”
ATI offers expanded hours and complimentary screenings, plus accepts virtually all major insurance carriers. Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, research and evidence-based medicine. This includes the ATI Patient Outcomes Registry, a collection of data that supports an innovative approach to physical therapy that improves awareness of patient outcomes and how the rehabilitative process can impact patients’ quality of life.
ATI has received many local, regional and national accolades for its commitment to quality care. The company was named “Best Physical Therapy Company in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine, and has achieved URAC core accreditation recognizing its commitment to quality healthcare. As a way to give back to the communities in which its patients and employees live, work and serve, ATI established the ATI Foundation in 2007. The ATI Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides resources and funding to children with physical impairments.
