ATI Physical Therapy is excited to announce expansion into the state of Washington with the acquisition of Apple Physical Therapy, a 24 clinic practice with locations throughout the Puget Sound. With the addition of Apple, ATI now has locations in 12 states.
“Apple is a physical therapy leader, and we’re excited to welcome this team to the ATI family,” said Dylan Bates, Chief Executive Officer of ATI Physical Therapy. “ATI is building a special platform in physical therapy, and we see Apple and our expansion into this market as the next chapter. We are looking forward to working together to positively impact the lives of more individuals.”
Based in Puyallup, Washington, Apple Physical Therapy is one of the state’s leading providers of physical, massage, occupational and hand therapy rehabilitation services. All clinics, therapists and clinic directors will remain in place, with the same dedication to excellent patient care and the local community that has been Apple’s hallmark for 30 years.
“ATI’s resources will allow us to outpace the rapidly changing healthcare landscape, improve treatment offerings, and retain our local commitment to our communities,” said Randy Johnson, Founder, President and CEO of Apple Physical Therapy. “Everything good about Apple Physical Therapy will simply be enhanced and maximized, and the bottom line is better care for our patients.” Mr. Johnson will remain with ATI Physical Therapy as Vice President of the Western Region.
Jason Hafner, Senior Vice President of Operations at ATI, is excited to welcome Randy and the Apple team to ATI. “We have been in discussions with Apple Physical Therapy for some time as their culture and mission is very similar to ATI’s. Adding Apple to our team is a natural fit for ATI and our expansion in the pacific northwest.”
With corporate headquarters located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, ATI is the largest physical therapy practice under one brand in the nation and currently operates 340 clinics in 12 states: Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin.
ATI is a comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation provider, specializing in research-based physical therapy; work conditioning/hardening; functional capacity evaluations; sports medicine and performance; and women's health. Unique in the industry, ATI has a dedicated in-house Research Department to improve rehabilitation outcomes through basic science, transitional research, and evidence-based medicine.
Recognized for outstanding quality, ATI has been named “Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine, and has received URAC Core Accreditation, a mark of distinction that recognizes ATI’s commitment to quality health care.
To give back to the local communities where ATI patients and staff work and live, ATI established the ATI Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting children in need of resources and funding due to medical complications and physical impairments.
