ATI Physical Therapy meets with Newark High School students to discuss healthcare careers
On Tuesday, October 23, ATI Physical Therapy will participate in the Newark High School College & Career Fair to speak to students about careers in the healthcare industry. As one of the regional leaders in physical therapy and rehabilitation services, ATI employs over 2,500 individuals nationwide.
“There are so many job opportunities within ATI and the healthcare industry as a whole,” said Michelle Niedziejko, recruiter at ATI. “Not only do we employ physical therapists, but we need physical therapist assistants, athletic trainers, rehab technicians, front office coordinators, and drivers as well.”
According to the National Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the healthcare industry is expected to grow much faster than other fields.
“Healthcare is a great career choice for students right now,” Niedziejko said. “There are many opportunities to transition into a healthcare career straight from high school or after completing a two- or four- year degree program.”
At the College & Career Fair, ATI representatives will discuss possible healthcare career paths with students and answer their questions about the physical therapy industry.
“This is a great way to get in front of students and show them all of the possible careers in the field,” Niedziekjo said. “We love being part of the Newark community, and we’re glad we can be a resource for these students.”
