ATI Physical Therapy Nurse Case Manager Receives 2012 Medique Award
Vallory Boody, Nurse Case Manager at ATI Physical Therapy, received the Medique Leadership Award at the 97th Annual Northeast Association of Occupational Health Conference in Mount Pocono, Pa., last month.
The Medique Award, which is presented annually by participating state associations, recognizes an outstanding Occupational Health Nurse Member who has exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and participation in the association and in professional activities as determined by his/her peers.
“The Medique award validates my dedication and longevity in the field of nursing,” Boody said. “It is an honor to be recognized by my peers who encourage me to strive to be the best.”
Boody began her career over thirty years ago, earning an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Delaware Technical Community College. Before coming to ATI in 2008, she held positions with Christiana Care Hospital, Union Hospital, the Medical Research Institute of Delaware, Central Rehabilitation Associates, Horizon Healthcare Consultants, and Spine Care Delaware. Throughout her career, Boody has obtained board certifications as a medical-surgical nurse, case manager, and disability management specialist.
Boody currently serves as the treasurer for the Delaware Association of Occupational Health Nurses and also maintains membership with the Delaware and Baltimore Claims Association and American Board of Disability Analysts.
“I am joining an elite group of nurses who have paved the way to keep Occupational Health Nursing moving forward,” Boody said. “I’m proud to be part of that.”
