ATI Physical Therapy is excited to announce further expansion into Anne Arundel County with the opening of a new clinic at 9 Lee Airpark Drive, Suite 400 in Edgewater. The clinic, which opened on August 4, is ATI’s 29th location in Maryland.
Located in the Village at Lee Airpark, ATI Edgewater is off of Route 2 Solomon’s Island Road and Maryland Avenue. The new location’s team is ready to roll out the red carpet for its patients with rehabilitation services that include: manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports specific training, and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. ATI’s energetic and motivating physical therapists provide a personalized, hands-on approach to get patients back to their best.
Andrew Bucknor has been named the lead clinician at the new Edgewater clinic. Andrew received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2012 from Temple University and has been with ATI since graduation. He takes a special interest in manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation and integrative dry needling. A native of Silver Spring, MD he enjoys staying active and helping out the community.
“We are excited to offer the Edgewater community the highest quality of care, and the same positive outcomes that patients have become accustomed to at our other ATI clinics,” said Tony Pomponi, Senior Regional Director with ATI. “Our involvement with Anne Arundel County school district in the form of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training services is just another way that ATI has been a growing part of this community and we are happy to have a nearby clinic to support the athletic trainers.”
ATI, one of the nation’s leading physical therapy and sports medicine providers, strives to take physical therapy to a higher level by being the bright spot in the day of its patients. It offers expanded hours, transportation for those with a medical necessity and complimentary injury screenings. ATI is proud to support the Edgewater community by providing athletic training services to South River High School, plus Southern, Annapolis, Annapolis Area Christian, Broadneck, Severna Park, and Old Mill High Schools in the surrounding communities.
Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, translational research, and evidence-based medicine.
ATI has received many local, regional, and national accolades for its commitment to quality care and a motivating, patient-friendly environment. The company was named “Best Physical Therapy Company in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine and has achieved URAC core accreditation, recognizing its commitment to quality healthcare.
As a way to give back to the communities in which its patients and employees live, work, and serve, ATI established the ATI Foundation in 2007. The ATI Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides resources and funding to children with physical impairments.
