ATI Physical Therapy is excited to announce further expansion in Sussex County with the opening of a new clinic at 401 College Park Lane, Suite 3 in Georgetown. The clinic, which opened on August 18, is ATI’s 27th location in Delaware.
Conveniently located off Route 113, ATI Georgetown is in the brand new Redner’s Shopping Center near Walmart. The new clinic’s team is ready to roll out the red carpet for its patients with rehabilitation services that include: manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports specific training, and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. ATI’s energetic and motivating physical therapists provide a personalized, hands-on approach to get patients back to their best.
David Pinkerton has been named the clinic director at the new Georgetown location. David received his Master of Physical Therapy in 1993 from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, completed an orthopedic residency through Evidence in Motion 2013 and an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification in 2014. During his 21 years of practice, he has treated patients ranging in age from 1 to 101 with a variety of diagnoses including wound care, neurologic, spinal cord, and orthopedic conditions. Additionally, David has been lucky enough to have worked with all levels of sports from little league to the NFL, as well as NBA and MLB . Joining David at the new clinic is physical therapist Lisa Cirillo. Lisa is a 1988 graduate from the University of Delaware, has 26 years experience in outpatient orthopedics with specialty in spine, and is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment® - The McKenzie Method®.
“ATI is very excited about the opening of the Georgetown location,” said Randy Smith, Regional Director for ATI Physical Therapy. “Our team will offer patients in this community, and the surrounding communities, convenient access to the highest quality of care to help them overcome pain and injury.”
ATI, one of the nation’s leading physical therapy and sports medicine providers, strives to take physical therapy to a higher level by being the bright spot in the day of its patients. It offers expanded hours, transportation for those with a medical necessity and complimentary injury screenings.
Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, translational research, and evidence-based medicine.
ATI has received many local, regional, and national accolades for its commitment to quality care and a motivating, patient-friendly environment. The company was named “Best Physical Therapy Company in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine and has achieved URAC core accreditation, recognizing its commitment to quality healthcare.
As a way to give back to the communities in which its patients and employees live, work, and serve, ATI established the ATI Foundation in 2007. The ATI Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides resources and funding to children with physical impairments.
