ATI Physical Therapy is pleased to announce continued expansion in Maryland with the January 13 opening of its Elkridge clinic, located at 7260 Montgomery Road. Elkridge is the first of three new ATI clinics scheduled to open in early 2015 and will be followed by locations in Perryville and Laurel.
Kate Ricks has been named clinic director of the new location. She graduated in 2006 with a degree in health science from James Madison University, and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 2009. Kate joined ATI in 2011 and has been leading the staff as clinic director at ATI’s Pasadena, Linthicum and Hanover locations. Her educational experience includes courses on vestibular therapy, treatments of the foot and ankle, therapeutic yoga techniques, common running injuries, and rehabilitation of the shoulder. In her spare time, Kate enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Located at the intersection of Route 1 (Washington Blvd.) and Montgomery Road in the Elkridge Corners Shopping Center, ATI provides the highest quality physical therapy and sports medicine services—all in a friendly and motivating environment. Rehabilitation services include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports-specific training, and therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
“Our new Elkridge clinic reinforces our commitment to the state of Maryland and its residents,” said Tony Pomponi, MPT, Senior Regional Director for ATI Physical Therapy. “We are looking forward to becoming a part of this great community, welcoming patients with our red carpet treatment and providing them with individualized care and exceptional results.”
ATI provides a treatment plan unique for each patient, designed specifically to reduce pain, improve mobility and reduce future injuries. ATI offers expanded hours, transportation for those with a medical necessity and complimentary injury screenings. Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, research and evidence-based medicine. This includes the ATI Patient Outcomes Registry, a collection of data that supports an innovative approach to physical therapy that improves awareness of patient outcomes and how the rehabilitative process can impact patients’ quality of life.
ATI has received many local, regional and national accolades for its commitment to quality care. The company was named “Best Physical Therapy Company in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine, and has achieved URAC core accreditation recognizing its commitment to quality healthcare. As a way to give back to the communities in which its patients and employees live, work and serve, ATI established the ATI Foundation in 2007. The ATI Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides resources and funding to children with physical impairments.
