Salisbury, MD - ATI Physical Therapy is expanding in Salisbury, MD with the opening of a new clinic in the College Station Shopping Center at 1409 South Salisbury Blvd., Units C & D. The clinic, which opened on April 21, is ATI’s second location in Salisbury.
ATI’s energetic and motivating physical therapists provide a personalized, hands-on approach to get patients back to their best. The new clinic’s rehabilitation services include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
Clinic Director
Phillip Tyre, DPT, ATC, has been promoted to Clinic Director of the Salisbury South location. Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, Tyre graduated in 2002 from Salisbury University with his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He worked as a staff athletic trainer with the men’s and women’s tennis teams at his alma mater prior to enrolling in PT school. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Pittsburgh with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.
“Nothing is more satisfying than knowing that I have played a vital role in returning a patient to something they love,” said Tyre. “At the end of the day, restoring my patients to their highest level of function is the driving force of my career and the most rewarding aspect of my profession.”
Tyre has worked in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy settings, and has experience in pediatric physical therapy. Always striving to advance his clinical knowledge base, he is certified in Graston technique for instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. He is working toward NSCA certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and intends to attain certification as a Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy from The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
