Dover, DE – ATI Physical Therapy continues to expand their presence in Dover, Del., by opening a third clinic at 283 N. DuPont Highway on Monday, Nov. 12. The East Dover clinic joins the existing West Dover clinic (260 Beiser Blvd.) and South Dover clinic (1288 S. Governors Ave.) to serve this area of Kent County.
“We’re excited to open our third clinic in Dover and continue to roll out the red carpet for our patients there,” said Dylan Bates, President and Chief Operating Officer, ATI Physical Therapy. “We’re grateful that the community has been so receptive to us, and we can now offer them a third option in their area.”
Known for exceptional results, the energetic and motivating staff at ATI provides personalized treatment plans in an upbeat and fun atmosphere. In addition to traditional services in physical therapy and sports medicine, the East Dover clinic offers the F.I.R.S.T. program, ATI’s internationally-recognized work conditioning and hardening program.
The F.I.R.S.T. program is a structured, goal-oriented, personalized exercise and workout program that aims to return patients back to work as soon as possible while helping them achieve their maximum physical potential. Rather than focusing only on the patient’s injury, the program focuses on conditioning the patient’s entire body. Joseph T. (J.T.) Laws, formerly the clinic director and F.I.R.S.T. program specialist at the South Dover location, will transition to oversee the program at the East Dover clinic.
Laws is a 2010 graduate of the University of Delaware’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. During his time at the University of Delaware, he provided care for the University’s football and lacrosse teams and participated in a sports and orthopedic-concentrated affiliation with Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, AL. Laws is currently working towards obtaining his OCS and SCS, and is a member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association Sports Medicine Board. Laws has served as the clinic director at South Dover since May of 2012 and has been with ATI since January 2011.
Named “Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation” by Advance Rehab Magazine, ATI has also achieved URAC Core Accreditation, a mark of distinction that recognizes ATI’s commitment to quality health care. ATI’s commitment to its patients and employees, as well as the medical professionals and communities it serves, has led to impressive growth. Founded in 1996, ATI now boasts more than 190 clinics in seven states: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
To give back to the local communities where ATI patients and staff work and live, ATI established the ATI Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting children in need of resources and funding due to medical complications and physical impairments.
