Former member of the USOC Sports Medicine staff brings twenty years of experience to ATI Springfield
Philip Beninato, a Delaware County physical therapist and former member of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) Sports Medicine staff, recently joined ATI Physical Therapy Springfield.
Beninato has over twenty years of experience treating patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries and holds certifications in Active Release Technique (ART) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). He served as a member on the USOC Sports Medicine staff from 1997 to 2007, traveling nationally and internationally with the field hockey, swimming, and diving teams. In addition, he now acts as a part-time faculty member at Harcum College in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
“We are excited and honored to have Phil as a member of our staff,” said Anthony Gagliardi, clinic director at ATI Springfield. “He has great relationships with people in this community, and he’s truly a phenomenal therapist.”
Beninato left his position at an outpatient physical therapy facility in Bromall, Pa., to join the ATI team in July. Although he’s at a new company, he’s able to continue doing what he’s passionate about – providing quality physical therapy for his patients.
“There are so many things you can do within the physical therapy industry, and I love the diversity the profession offers,” Beninato said. “I look forward to working with ATI. I’m impressed with the teamwork approach they have and how organized the company is.”
Beninato joins an experienced team of physical therapists at ATI Springfield. Gagliardi, who earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy at University of the Sciences in 1994, is a certified orthopedic clinical specialist who worked as an outpatient physical therapist in Newtown Square for 14 years prior to joining ATI in 2008. Lisa D’Arcy, who brings over twenty years of experience in the industry, has worked in the inpatient, outpatient, and homecare sectors, specializing in balance training.
