Over 100 motorcycle riders, passengers, volunteers and celebrants participated in the Annual Cruisin-4-Kids Motorcycle Ride in Milwaukee, WI on Saturday, July 19, 2014. The event raised over $5,000 for children with physical impairments. The ride kicked off at Marx Pioneer Inn in Muskego, and riders enjoyed a scenic cruise through beautiful Wisconsin with stops at Hogg Alley, Whiskey Waters, 4 Keeps Bar, Knucklehead Pub and Blue Overalls. They wrapped up the day with a post-ride celebration back at Marx Pioneer Inn.
The highlight of the event was a special presentation to seven-year-old Josh Leake. Josh, who has cerebral palsy, received an $1,100 check that will be used to purchase a Crocodile walker. The walker will give Josh that ability to move around more independently.
Two additional Wisconsin-based organizations were honored at the event, and presented with checks. The Vision Forward Association received $500 that will go directly toward their new program that teaches visually impaired children how to walk independently in the dark. Newly founded Birdies-4-Life was given $600 for use toward their mission of helping children with disabilities participate in recreational activities like golf, swimming and bike riding.
