In recognition of ATI Physical Therapy’s presenting sponsorship, the Joliet Slammers elected to formally introduce their new manager at a press conference held at the ATI corporate office on January 7.
New manager Mike Breyman will lead the Joliet Slammers in their quest to earn a second Frontier League Championship title. Erik Coleman will serve as the new pitching coach and Dave Garcia has been hired as hitting coach.
Breyman served as the hitting coach for the Gateway Grizzlies in 2012 and in the same capacity with the River City Rascals in 2010 and 2011. Breyman won a Frontier League Championship with the Rascals in 2010 and was named the Frontier League’s Coach of the Year in 2011. Prior to that Breyman was the Grizzlies’ bench coach in 2009 and played with Gateway for five seasons.
This will mark ATI Physical Therapy’s third year as Presenting Sponsor of the Joliet Slammers and the company’s support of minor league baseball in Joliet goes back nearly a decade. In addition, ATI will provide athletic training services for the team.
“We are excited about the upcoming season. The Joliet Slammers are great for the Joliet community. As a big part of the Joliet community ourselves, ATI is proud to sponsor the Slammers,” said Jason Hafner, Senior Vice President of Operations, ATI Physical Therapy. “We look forward to enjoying the games as well as doing our part to keep the players safe and healthy.”
