October is National Physical Therapy Month (NPTM), an annual commemoration held by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). NPTM is designed to recognize the impact that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants make in restoring and improving motion in people’s lives.
As you can imagine, we get pretty excited each year when October rolls around. And this year is particularly special for us!
2016 marks the second year of Global PT Day of Service (PTDOS) which will take place on Saturday, October 15. ATI Physical Therapy is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of this year’s PTDOS, but that’s not the only thing that makes us so excited about this event and month.
Our excitement stems from the fact that our own Efosa Guobadia, head of ATI Mission Works, is the co-director of PTDOS, and also from the many community service events that we have scheduled throughout the month!
Our scheduled events include:
- IL – Corporate Office Blood Drive on Thursday, October 6 from 8:30 am-1:00 pm
- MI – SE Michigan Food Drive with Gleaners Food Bank
- Our clinics will be hosting a food drive from 10/10-10/21. All food will be donated to Gleaners Food Bank of SE MI.
