Purdue Athletics and ATI Physical Therapy Announce Sports Medicine Partnership
The Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and ATI Physical Therapy are proud to announce their new Sports Medicine partnership, recognizing ATI as the “Approved Provider of Sports Medicine Services” for Purdue Athletics. The three-year agreement will give Purdue Athletics exclusive access to athletic training services from one of the most elite and comprehensive physical therapy and sports medicine companies in the country.
Adam Leech, M.Ed., ATC, has joined the staff after working at Kent State University since 2010. Adam received his Bachelor of Science from Ashland University, and his Master of Education in Developmental Kinesiology from Bowling Green State University. ATI Physical Therapy will provide Purdue Athletics with the services of one athletic trainer for the 2012-13 school year, two for 2013-14 and three for 2014-15.
“Our partnership with Purdue Athletics is a milestone for ATI Physical Therapy and ATI Sports Medicine,” said Jason Pequette, senior director of sports medicine at ATI. “We are excited about our inaugural partnership with a Big Ten school and we are looking forward to providing the highest level of preventative care and rehabilitation for their athletes.”
ATI Physical Therapy currently operates over 190 clinics in seven states, and is one of the largest employers of certified athletic trainers in the country, providing on-site sports medicine services for over 150 universities, professional athletic teams, high schools, and clubs nationwide. The athletic trainers at ATI understand the complexities of high–level functional rehabilitation, the athlete’s expectation for a quick return to play, and the issues that face the player, the family, and the coaching staff.
