PTDOS 2016
Team ATI,
October is National Physical Therapy Month! ATI will be highlighting and honoring our remarkable team members and showing how we are giving back to the communities where we work and live. One of the highlights of the month will come on October 15, where, we as an organization, will be sponsoring and participating in the International PT Day of Service - #PTDOS.
The PT Day of Service is a global initiative started by ATI’s own Efosa Guobadia along with his colleague, Josh D’Angelo. The objective of the day is to promote volunteerism and giving back by those in the PT profession. This day of giving includes not only physical therapists, but also anyone who has a connection to physical therapy. Our goal this year is to be the company with the most participants in the 2016 PT Day of Service. Team Members are encouraged to organize an event your area and/or clinic, whether it be collecting food for your local food bank, working in a soup kitchen, cleaning up a park, working with Habitat for Humanity or some other service project that will impact you where you live and work.
For example, the Southeast Michigan clinics will be hosting a food drive from October 10-21 to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank of SE MI. Both clinic staff and patients are encourage to bring non-perishable items to the clinics during the week for collection. In addition, ATI Corporate Headquarters will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, October 6 to support the initiative.
We look forward to hearing how you and your fellow team members are participating in the PT Day of Service and throughout the month of October. If you and your fellow team members plan to participate in a volunteer or food drive activity, please go to www.ptdayofservice.com “Pledge to Participate” as this is how we will be able to tally the number of ATI participants. Also send your photos to www.atipt.com/yourstory (please include location and details of your day of service) so that we can share them on our social media channels.
