ATI MissionWorks
ATI’s global initiative ATI MissionWorks provides support for clinicians who volunteer to provide high quality care and other services for those in need in developing countries.
“This initiative gives us the opportunity individually and collectively to grow and receive by giving of ourselves by sharing our time, skills, love and care with those beyond our borders,” says Efosa L. Guobadia, lead therapist with ATI MissionWorks.
ATI MissionWorks has completed six trips to Columbia, Guatemala, and Peru over the past two years. The next mission is scheduled for February 2014 in Zacappa, Guatemala.
National Physical Therapy Month
National Physical Therapy Month (NPTM) is an annual commemoration held each October by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). NPTM is designed to recognize the impact that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants make in restoring and improving motion in people’s lives.
Throughout this month, ATI will feature on Facebook and the GET THERE blog personal insights from clinicians about what the physical therapy profession means to them.
ATI’s focus on exceptional patient outcomes, as well as their commitment to an upbeat, motivational environment for patients, has led to extensive growth, allowing them to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month in over 275 clinics across ten states this year. The company offers a variety of innovative therapies, backed by their in-house research department, to benefit patients. Specialty services include the F.I.R.S.T. work conditioning program, functional capacity assessments, sports medicine, aquatic therapy, hand therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and women’s health.
